DRILL DOWN AND DRINK UP

Dependable residential well drilling for new construction.

Behind every well drilled is the Verney family…here's who makes it happen.

Brett Verney of Verney Well Drilling.

BRETT VERNEY
Owner

Brett has always had a passion for the outdoors as an avid hunter, fisherman and lobsterman. He was raised on the coast of Maine surrounded by family and always knew he wanted to raise his own in the community that raised him. From the start, Brett rooted himself in Newcastle, buying a home, marrying the Queen of the company, Megan and a few years later welcoming twin boys, Bow and Garrett. Wherever Brett is Bow and Garrett are usually not far behind. Together, they are passionate about restoring old trucks, tinkering on vintage snowmobiles, spending time in the woods or working on various projects together.  He has passed on many of his passions (obsessions) including but not limited to first generation Dodges, Facebook Marketplace projects, Vintage Skidoos and we know that well drilling will be no different.

Kevin Verney of Verney Well Drilling.

KEVIN VERNEY
Licensed Well Driller & Pump Installer

Anyone that knows Kevin will tell you that hard work is his middle name. An early riser by nature, Kevin can often be found as the early bird that catches the worm, working in his shop on various jobs. Kevin has mastered a variety of tradeskills over the years including well drilling, commercial snow removal and bossing his family around. But, the majority of his career has been spent in Marine Fabrication and Welding. With over 40 years of experience he has worked on repairing and outfitting commercial fishing boats, expertly creating runways and repairing heavy equipment for local businesses. You can also find him behind the wheel of a dump truck, crane truck, tractor or excavator providing much needed services to locals. Kevin’s proudest accomplishment isn’t his job experience or collection of equipment but spending each day with his grandsons. Whether their time together includes haying fields or going for an ice cream, being “Grampa” is his favorite part of the day.

Megan Verney of Verney Well Drilling.

MEGAN VERNEY
Queen of the Company

The spirited keeper of all things is Megan! She is the behind the scenes force that keeps Verney Well Drilling and it’s crew on their toes. When she is not keeping those ducks in a row, she is keeping 15 little first grade ducklings, literally, in a row! She is chaos coordinator not only in the classroom but in her home as WELL! Get it? Bow, Garrett, Brett and even their dog Tank bring the boy energy. Her life is like a constant comedy show, sometimes a comedy of errors but no less very entertaining and soul filling. As much as she loves, dirt, grease, truck parts and Facebook Marketplace, what she loves MORE is sunshine, freshly manicured nails, escaping in a good book and long walks through Target! If you need help during the well drilling process, she is your girl!

“OJO”
The Real MVP

Ojo is a 1998 T4 Ingresol-Rand well drilling rig. OJO made the long trek to Maine on the back of a low boy trailer in the summer of 2026. Ojo enjoyed life in Southern Colorado spending his days with his lifelong best friend, O.G Blouin. Their bond started in 2003 as they navigated each day together. Ojo has a strong work ethic, go-getter attitude, strength and determination that impresses us all. We know he learned these core values during his mentorship at Ojo Springs Well Drilling under the guidance and daily care O.G. provided. Ojo is settling into his new life in Maine. Even though he misses being nestled to sleep each night among the mountains he is enjoying all that Maine has to offer. He prefers exploring the state with windows down, riding by the ocean and occasionally stopping for a Whoopie Pie!

Bow Verney of Verney Well Drilling.

BOW VERNEY
Social Media Content Creator & Keeper of the Tools

Impeccably dressed in his Brunt workboots, Carhartt pants, giant belt buckle and tucked in work shirt, Bow impresses head to toe. Bow is a master of passing the tools in the shop, sometimes the wrong ones, usually distracted by the country music that streams inside his head 24/7. When he is not singing Hank Williams Jr., you will find him making videos of his favorite pick up truck, a 1989 First Generation Dodge with a 5.9 Cummins diesel motor. Bow loves his dog Tank, troubleshooting problems that arise on his various projects and buying and listing items on Facebook marketplace. He has the spirit of an entrepreneur, recognizing at a young age that you build your business one sale at a time.

Garrett Verney of Verney Well Drilling.

GARRETT VERNEY
Head Power Washer and Little Mechanic

Primarily found kicking around the shop, covered head to toe in grease and engrossed in a project. Whether changing the rear-end in his four wheeler or using his much smaller hands to assist Dad with repairs and maintenance there is truly only one word that can sum up Garrett and that is busy. When not power washing company vehicles or assisting with an oil change, Garrett can be found zipping around on his dirt bike that proudly flies the American flag. His proudest accomplishment is that he has taught himself to drive a standard 1966 International Pickup Truck in the fields behind his home. Garrett will impress you with his quick wit, agility and ability to take apart pretty much anything, even things you would like to stay together.

Tank, the Golden retriever shop dog of Verney Well Drilling.

TANK
Shop Dog and Lunch Stealer

Often found napping in a work truck or laying in the sun in front of the shop, Tank is our youngest employee. He enjoys long runs through the field as his name echoes behind him in the distance. His nose often causes him the most trouble as he sniffs out the local wildlife or the cheese burger you left in the truck for later. As an English Cream Golden Retriever, tank would appreciate all of your attention when you meet him. Please keep your eyes on him and only him, rub his belly, scratch his ears, gift him a toy with lots of squeakers and if you want a friend for life…share your human food. He will be incredibly rude if you give him a dog biscuit and it doesn’t have vanilla soft serve and whip cream under it. His parents apologize for his poor manners, they are working on it!
